About The Dahanu Holidays

Dahanu is a beautiful shoreline village located in the Thane district of the state of Maharastra. Located close to the state border with Gujarat, Dahanu is a picturesque village with views of the Arabian Sea. It is an important coastal village of the state and is the municipal assembly of the Thane locality.

In latest years, the town has appeared as an significant financial and developed town of the state with many manufacturers and commerce. The nearest aerodrome is the Mumbai Airport which is about 145 kilometres away.

The village is rather picturesque with its tranquil stretch of ocean sandy shore, coconut groves and casuarina trees bordered by the sandy shore area, increased flower beds, and the beautiful crop orchards. In detail, Dahanu is renowned for its chickoo output and 50 per hundred of the country’s chickoo production arrives from here.

The beach here is rather attractive and clean, and is a great location to spend the day. The ocean here does not have much present and remains peaceful, making it perfect for bathing and enjoying a calm time by the beach. The sandy shore in Dahanu extends up to around 17 kilometres.

There are a number of temples in and round the town. There is a well known Jain Temple round the outpost area in the Dahanu town. The persons of the locality were originally tribal and they still keep the tribal heritage and tradition which add to the charm of the location. While in Dahanu, visitors can also choose to visit Udwada which is renowned for its attractive Parsi temple with the sacred blaze.
